Top Hotel Restaurant and Bar Reviews Los Angeles: Trader Vic's Bar and Circa 55 Restaurant at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly-Hills by Foodie and French Chef Natacha Mannhart

This is the landmark hotel of Conrad Hilton’s empire. It has served as John F. Kennedy’s “Western White House,” hosted the first-ever Grammy Awards, and is the site of the annual Golden Globe Awards. (This is also where Presidential candidate John Edwards was videotaped during his extramarital affair during his 2008 campaign, and where Whitney Houston drowned in her bathtub.)

Enter the legendary Beverly Hilton home of Paris and the Hiltons, and you will feel welcomed. This place mainly caters to business travelers these days, and the staff is particularly friendly and very helpful.

To reach the famous Trader Vic's Bar, walk through the hotel lobby and downstairs. The bar and restaurant Circa 55 are both poolside. When you arrive at the Tiki Bar area, you will feel like you are in the South Pacific. This bar area is spectacular and is partially indoors and outdoors. You can't miss the huge outdoor video screen.
Start your visit with one of their many exotic cocktails, such as their signature Mai Tai, Starburst cocktail, or share the Scorpion Bowl with your friends. Order some Polynesian appetizers called “tidbits and pupus.” And be sure to try the Lobster Dumplings from the restaurant menu right at the bar.
After enjoying your drinks and apps at the bar, be seated in Circa 55. You will find the menu here to be a Hawaiian-Polynesian-Asian fusion, which is actually a good option for vegetarians. Order an adventurous Kimchi Fried Rice. At Lunch, try the Beverly Hilton Meatloaf.
If you take a room, you don’t have to leave your lapdog behind. Because Conrad didn’t forget that his former spouse, Zsa Zsa Gabor, kept a constant Shih Tzu companion, the Beverly Hilton became one of the first dog-friendly hotels in the U.S.

In Summer, drink your cocktail near the pool!
